Wij hebben de mooiste uitzichten gezien, gezellig gekletst en super lekker geluncht. Ook heerlijke rum en verse Poncha geproefd! Experiência fantástica: We had booked a driver/guide to drop us and pick us up from our hikes, and along the way to visit some view points, and based on our itinerary that involved hiking in the levadas, the company thankfuly assigned to us their wonderful guide Lucy, where she is very knowledgeable and experienced, and she shared with us very helpful tips for our to make it more pleasurable, and also shared with us the history of madeira that made our drives very interesting. Would highly recommend for anyone.

Beide haben uns mit ihrem fundierten Wissen über die Insel und die Botanik, ihrem Witz und ihrer warmherzigen Art begeistert. Wir lernten viele tolle Ecken von Madeira kennen. Toni sorgte mit verschiedenen traditionellen Kopfbedeckungen für Erheiterung. Lucy sorgte früh morgens mit ihrer guten Laune und Bravo-Rufen samt Klatschen für Stimmung im Auto und riss uns alle mit, so dass die Gruppe auch untereinander gut in Kontakt kam. Wir können die Touren uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen und kommen gern wieder, um mit dem Anbieter Maderia zu erkunden.

Experiência fantástica: Uma só palavra ESPECTACULAR! Resevamos 2 tours. 1 dia pelo oeste da ilha e o seguinte pelo leste. Eramos 6 pessoas. Tudo começou no momento da reserva que fizemos com a senhora Lucy que foi um amor. O Daniel, nosso guia durante 2 dias, foi formidável e cheio de humor! Aprendemos imenso sobre a ilha da Madeira com ele e vimos paisagens unicas. Aconselhamos a 200% a Secret Madeira Tours pela simpatia, profissionalismo e qualidade do tour.

Experiência fantástica: professionalità e simpatia, la nostra guida Tony è stato paziente e molto disponibile. Voglio raccontare questo episodio: Io e il mio amico ci siamo fermati un po' troppo nella distilleria per comprare un rum. Usciti dalla distilleria c'era da fare una bella passeggiata panoramica. Nonostante ci fossimo attardati nella distilleria ci ha detto di andare a vedere la passeggiata perché gli altri del gruppo erano già andati. Avrebbe potuto non dirci niente perché noi nella distilleria ci eravamo dimenticati della passeggiata, così faceva prima a radunare il gruppo per ripartire e invece ha voluto dircelo per non farcela perdere. É stato molto gentile e da questo gesto si è capito che voleva proprio farci apprezzare l'isola in tutta la sua bellezza nonostante abbiamo fatto perdere qualche minuto (pochissimi minuti perché abbiamo fatto una corsetta !) al gruppo per vedere la passeggiata. Quindi mettiamo 5 stelle e consigliamo questa agenzia perché ha a cuore le bellezze di Madeira!

Experiência negativa: Ich habe über GetYourGuide eine Westtour auf Madeira gebucht, aber wurde stattdessen in eine Osttour eingetragen. Erst im Bus habe ich durch die Erklärungen des Reiseführers gemerkt, dass etwas nicht stimmt. Ich habe ihn sofort darauf angesprochen – zum Glück hat er mich verstanden und ein Taxi organisiert, das mich von Maciço zurück nach Funchal gebracht hat. Trotzdem war mein ganzer Tag ruiniert. Ich hatte mich auf die Westseite der Insel gefreut – stattdessen habe ich Zeit verloren. So ein Fehler darf einfach nicht passieren. Ein schöner Urlaubstag wurde völlig vermasselt. Ich akzeptiere keine Entschuldigung – das geht gar nicht. Nie wieder mit dieser Firma!

Experiência fantástica: Tolle abwechslungsreiche Tour in den Osten und Norden der Insel, vom Skywalk und der Sonne des Ostteils zum kühlen, mystischen Nebelwald und weiter an die atemberaubende Nordküste. Unterhaltsam moderiert von unserer Tourguide Lucie(?), die an allen sehenswerten Punkten einen kurzen Stopp einlegte. Abschluss dann ein Madeirawein - Tasting in einer urigen Wirtschaft. Ein perfekter Tag... Vielen Dank.

Experiência fantástica: Wir waren im Rahmen einer Kreuzfahrt am 13.1. auf Madeira und buchten die Ost Tour. unsere Reiseleiterin Lucy hat und pünktlich um 9.00 Uhr beim CR7 Museum abgeholt. Lucy ist so liebevoll mit jeden einzelnen Gast umgegangen. Wir waren insgesamt nur sieben Personen im Bus. Lucy hat uns ihre Heimat gezeigt und wir haben uns in die Insel verliebt. Sie zeigte uns Ecken die traumhaft waren.Auf dieser Tour kommt jeder auf seine Kosten. Lucy hat uns das Gefühl gegeben willkommen zu sein, wir hatten genügend Zeit uns die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel anzuschauen ohne Druck und wunderschön. Madeira Ausflug nur noch mit Lucy wir waren überwältig und das war unser Highlight von unserer Kreuzfahrt. Experiência negativa: Leider können wir die positiven Bewertungen für Secret Madeira nicht teilen. Wir hatten ein VIP Taxi mit einem Führer für 8h gebucht, um die Insel kennenzulernen. Jedoch wurde der Ausflug 24h vorher von Secret Madeira storniert, da der Wagen defekt war. Dies kann natürlich passieren. Auf Rückfrage, ob es eine Alternative gäbe, oder man uns zumindest einen Taxifahrer empfehlen könnte, wurde dies abgelehnt. Eine Entschuldigung gab es auch nicht. Wir haben schon einige Reisen privat gebucht, und es kann immer etwas dazwischenkommen. Allerdings haben wir immer mit dem Reiseveranstalter eine Lösung gefunden, oder wurden dabei unterstützt. Dies macht nach meiner Ansicht einen professionellen Reiseveranstalter aus. Bei Secret Madeira können Sie dies leider nicht erwarten, daher finde ich die Anzahl der Sterne deutlich übertrieben.

Experiência negativa: Tuve una experiencia bastante mala con esta compañía. Me cambiaban constantemente de día las actividades que reservé, no se presentaban nunca a la hora acordada en el punto de encuentro, por no decir que un día se olvidaron de recogerme. Me dijeron que disponían de guías de habla española y sólo 1 de ellos lo hablaba, el otro sólo hablaba inglés. Me cambiaron al último momento una actividad de día y tuve que reclamar en varias ocasiones que me reembolsaran el dinero. En ningún momento se me informó de que la ruta de los picos estaba cerrada, y que estaban organizando rutas alternativas, ni se me ofreció cambiarlo por otra actividad. Me parece una compañía bastante irrespetuosa, por el comentario añadido a esta reseña y por el e-mail que me han enviado a mi correo personal pidiendo explicaciones. Sólo espero que de esto saquen algo positivo y les ayude a mejorar su servicio y el trato a las personas, y a pedir disculpa cuando toca, en vez de llamar mentiroso al cliente que atienden.

Experiência negativa: Des paysages magnifiques mais la visite s été gachée par Paulo, le chauffeur. Arrivé en retard de 20 minutes parce qu'il y a beaucoup de voitures et qu'il n'est pas un avion". Est-il normal pour un chauffeur depuis 25 ans dans le métier de ne pas connaître le trafic de la ville et de ne pas anticiper? Aucune recommandation pour le déjeuner, aucun accompagnement pour les différents points d'arrets. Et pire, il refuse de respecter l'itinéraire prévu et il décide de ne pas s'arrêter à Ponta de Sao Lourenço, pas de dégustation à Porto da Cruz alors qu'elle était prévue. Une honte ! Les clients payent pour un itinéraire avec des arrêts précis. Quel manque de considération envers les clients. Fuyez le chauffeur Paulo !

Experiência fantástica: He fet el tour a les finques agrícoles de Funchal i ha estat una molt bona experiència! La guia Lucy, era encantadora i ens ha fet conèixer tot el referent a les plantacions de plàtans , cultius, vins…. amb una gran expertesa i simpatia. Molt recomanable!! El dinar també ha estat molt bé. Gràcies per l’experiència!!!

Experiência negativa: Unos impresentables. Reservamos -y pagamos- el 21/08 una actividad de buceo para el 16/09. Recibimos la confirmación al instante. Y 36 h. antes de realizar la actividad nos mandan un mail con este texto: "Hola Lo sentimos, no tenemos disponibilidad para bucear el lunes 16/09/2024. Tenemos que cancelarlo. Gracias Reservar el mismo tour otra fecha Reservar otras actividades en Funchal". Cuando miramos en su calendario, no había fechas disponibles hasta el 25/09 (para entonces ya no estamos en la isla). Me parece una vergüenza que una empresa de servicios se dedique a tomar el pelo de esta manera a la gente. Si hay disponibilidad en el momento de la reserva, lo hay en el momento de realizar la actividad.

Experiência negativa: Contratamos dos excursiones con ellos: bautismo de buceo y descenso de cañones. La de buceo nos la cancelaron 2 días antes por “cuestiones de disponibilidad”, sin opción a cambiarla y sin más excusas. Al día siguiente me escriben con respecto al descenso de cañones diciendo que no tienen personas suficientes para formar un grupo del nivel que habíamos solicitado (intermedio) y que si nos importaba bajar al nivel fácil. Les decimos que vale, y a las dos horas me vuelven a escribir para decirnos que no hay disponibilidad y que cancelan la actividad. Dos actividades canceladas en dos días. Han arruinado nuestro viaje, que por cierto es la luna de miel, donde lo teníamos todo organizado para hacer algo diferente cada día. Llevamos 2 días dando vueltas por la isla con el coche como si fuéramos dos jubilados y buscando actividades de última hora para poder hacer algo divertido (es difícil porque no tienen disponibilidad con tan poco tiempo de antelación). Una vergüenza de empresa, no tienen consideración con los que venimos desde el extranjero para pasar unos días aquí. Y aún estamos esperando a que nos devuelvan el dinero…

Experiência negativa: Pongo una estrella porque no hay en negativo. Contratamos dos excursiones con muchísima ilusión, siendo nuestra luna de miel venimos con muchas ganas de disfrutar. Nada mas llegar a la isla el sábado nos llega un correo de cancelación de la actividad de bautismo de buceo…. Un día antes! Sin opciones ni alternativas… Mañana dia 17 teníamos otra actividad de descenso de cañones; nos escriben vía WhatsApp diciendo que lo que contratamos no hay disponibilidad, solo los viernes… que tiene que ser otro nivel; tras aceptar (que remedio) nos contestan a las 3 o 4h y nos dicen que no tienen disponibilidad y nos vuelven a cancelar… otra vez de nuevo. Sois unos sinverguenzas, sin duda han hecho que nuestra luna de miel se convierta en dar vueltas por la isla sin saber que hacer y sin rumbo alguno. Empatía cero, profesionalidad nula y organización pésima. No vuelvo ni aunque me lo regalen. Si no tienen personal o fechas disponibles cerrad las reservas y asi no jodeis experiencias a personas que con mucha ilusión toman su tiempo en organizar y reservar las actividades…

Experiência fantástica: Hemos coincidido en dos excursiones con Gama, la del oeste y la del este de Madeira, es un guía increíble, no sólo por si conocimiento de la isla y cómo lo transmite, sino también por su talante y forma de llevar el grupo. Ha marcado la diferencia entre unas excursiones que han sido excelente.

Experiência negativa: Poco antes de realizar una actividad, a las 12 de la noche nos la cancelan, de manera unilateral y sin ofrecernos ninguna otra alternativa. Llevábamos con esa actividad reservada casi tres semanas, y ¿días antes se dan cuenta que están completos hasta finales de mes? Según veo en comentarios, esto también le ha pasado a otros clientes. Empresa poco fiable ya que, tienes tu viaje organizado, y te trastocan los planes de un momento a otro.

Experiência negativa: Empresa muy poco sería y profesional, con menos de 24h de antelación nos avisan que cancelan una actividad (y pretenden ofrecerla otro día) es decir que por su mala gestión tendría que cancelar otras actividades para realizar la suya... Nada recomendable, mucho cuidado si reserváis porque os estropean el viaje y os quedáis ese día sin hacer nada.

Experiência fantástica: Pasamos un día fenomenal conociendo el noroeste de la isla. Lucy conoce muy bien la isla, se nota, nos fue dando un montón de información y anécdotas sobre los lugares, incluso tuvo el detalle de dejarnos antes de regresar a Funchal en el sitio donde nos alojábamos, que estaba en el punto donde finalizaba el tour. It was a nice experience!

Experiência negativa: Disappointing experience even though we had booked it several months earlier for our family. The service was botched and far removed from the proposed programme. Rushed and unpleasant contact with the agency, which was very aggressive. Prices very high and out of line with the services provided. Absolutely to be avoided.

Experiência fantástica: We booked a private tour with Secret Madeira and we had an amazing experience. From the booking process till the end of the day, everyone was extremely approachable. Michael was our guide and we can’t praise how incredibly knowledgeable he was, giving us a lot of information about the island history, fauna and flora. Due to Michael, we managed to have a tailored and relax trip around the eastern side of the island, stopping in a fantastic spot for lunch with stunning views of the northern coast.With no doubt it was worth the money, we can’t wait go back again.

Experiência negativa: Driver of 87sj39 needs to learn how to drive safely. This afternoon this driver swerved infront of an ambulance on blue's, when there was a safe place to stop. Instead he swerved across the road to get a parking spot, not what would consider to be a safe driving. Not happy!

Experiência negativa: Cuando se contrata un tour en español,confías en que sea así.Hemos hecho dos excursiones con Secret Madeira y en ambos casos hablaban en inglés, portugués y,de vez en cuando,alguna palabra en español. Además en una de ellas el vehículo era muy viejo y daba cierto miedo por esas carreteras. El trato fue amable y los lugares visitados muy bonitos pero las visitas resultaron muy pobres en explicación.Una pena.

Experiência negativa: SCAMMERS. They are unpresentable. We had a reservation at 9 and no one has shown up. After calling the company and telling us to keep waiting, no one came. They didn't pick up the phone again or they hung up on us directly. They left us stranded without giving any explanation. A disastrous company, NOT recommended at all!!!!!!!!!!

Experiência negativa: Lamentables. Teníamos una reserva para hacer descenso de barrancos a las 9:00 y no ha venido nadie a buscarnos. Hemos llamado y nos ha dicho la mujer que alguna vez se retrasaban...después de más de una hora esperando no nos han vuelto a coger el teléfono o directamente nos colgaban y nos han dejado tirados en la puerta del hotel con la reserva hecha y pagada. Ahora nos toca reclamar para ver cuándo nos devuelven el dinero. Son unos incompetentes y maleducados, no recomiendo a nadie acercarse a esta "empresa"...

Experiência negativa: ESTAFA! Un trato pésimo hacia el cliente. Teníamos una reserva de buceo el miércoles 16 de agosto de 2023 a las 9:00 de la mañana. Llegamos a la empresa de buceo y nos dicen que desde aquí, que es con quien se ha contratado, no han confirmado la reserva. Tenemos suerte y la empresa de buceo nos hace un hueco a otra hora. Llamamos a esta agencia para pedir explicaciones y la persona que nos atiende es grosera y mal educada. Nos cuelga constantemente. No nos da ninguna explicación ni ninguna solución, nos dice que como ya nos han dado otra hora que ya está solucionado. Hemos tenido que cancelar un tour para ver delfines para poder hacer el buceo. Hemos preguntado para hacer una reclamación y además de colgarnos y no darnos la información, nos dice que no existe la oficina y que se puede hacer online, cuando claramente eso no sirve de nada. Tampoco nos habían informado de que nos entraba en el precio coger el teleférico para bajar a la playa. Muy mala gestión y no te informan de nada y tampoco asumen sus errores. Le doy una estrella porque no se puede menos.

Experiência fantástica: Very good tours, very good Tourguides Lucy and Tony. We did the West-and Easttour. Both were really nice and showed us a lot of Madeira. Tony drove the old streets most of the time so we could see more. On the Westtour it is good to take the swimsuit for Porto Moniz where we stayed for over 2 hours. If I‘d have more time I would go on another Tour with them.

Experiência positiva: Took the “East Island Tour” and spent 8 hours with our driver Carlos. We saw sights and valleys and beaches we’d never be able to see by ourselves. The Rum Factory and nature hikes were added pluses that we thought were nice touches. Lunch wasn’t very good at all, as better options were nearby, but maybe the two companies have a relationship. As far as value, it was definitely worth the cost. We got back at 17:30 and saw so much of this beautiful island. The only problem we had is that the people in the back of the van had trouble hearing anything our driver said. We also wanted to learn a little more about Madeira’s history, as well as its flora and fauna. Maybe a hands free microphone system would have helped. Otherwise, strongly recommend this tour.

Experiência fantástica: We did the north tour. Can’t say enough good things about our amazing guide Tony. Highly recommend choosing the lunch included option. You’ll be hungry when you get to Porto Moniz. You’re offered a choice of main courses once you’re on the bus. The meal includes a large bun, soup, a main and dessert - all delicious - and red and white wine! Having it ready on your arrival means more time in the pools. Thank-you Tony for an incredible day and a wonderful adventure

Experiência fantástica: The agricultural tour just left me with no words it was so wonderful and it was such a great personal experience! It was unique and Lucy put here whole heart in making this trip happen! I recommend this trip to everyone who really wants to get a peek in what Madeira is really like. You get to go to places where just as a tourist you could never go!

Amable, simpática, muy trabajadora, se desvive por los demás siempre atenta a cualquier cosa que puedas necesitar. Nadie como ella para enseñarte y pararse en cada rincón de la isla, lo que se sabe y lo que es menos conocido para el resto de turistas. Conoce cada historia de los pueblos, anécdotas de sus más de 30 años siendo guía y nativa de la isla. 100% recomendable. No hay mejor empresa y el precio es muy asequible para todo lo que incluye.

She even picked us up early, so we arrived at the toboggan rides before all the cruise ship tourists, preventing us ending up in an hour long queue. Experiência fantástica: Wir hatten eine tolle Privattour mit Lucy. Da Lucy gut deutsch spricht war die Verständigung kein Problem. Lucy hat uns tolle Ecken - z.B. den Lorbeerwald, der im Nebel irre aussieht - gezeigt. Auch waren wir in den Bergen und haben so die verschiedenen Wetterzonen erlebt. Sonne, Nebel, Regen, Wind......ein wirklich schöner Tag, da Lucy uns vieles über die Insel und Land und Leute berichten konnte. WIr empfehlen Secret Madeira tours gerne weiter.

Experiência fantástica: I can highly recommended this tour, I took the Eastern and Western tour with Toni and Lucy. Both spoke several languages very well (I can judge German and English as well as Spanish) and shared many interesting facts about the island, culture and people. Both tours were flexible and can be adjusted according to the weather, but only if the group is fine. The group consisted of around 6-8 people which made it easy to coordinate and fun. For both Easter and Western part there was a mix of landscapes, villages and seaside. Including Sanatana, a rum facrory incl tasting, Porto Moniz, a wine tasting and mountains. Overall a very entertaining, interesting and impressive tour worth the price.

Experiência fantástica: I had short visit beautiful Madeira and wanted to see as more as possible. And Secret Madeira tours gave me this. At two day's trips I have watch a lot of picturesque sites and many interesting info about local nature and life. Carlos and Lucy are very professional drivers (that sometimes very difficult on narrow and wriggling mountain roads), very good guides and very friendly companions. Experiência fantástica: Wir hatten die Tour durch den Osten der Insel auf deutsch gebucht. Leider wurde die Tour auf deutsch abgesagte da Lucy krank war, von hier aus alles gute noch mal. Dadurch hatten wir die Tour mit Carlos auf Englisch die auch sehr informativ und spannend war. Leider war die Rumverkostung nicht so toll,es gab gerade mal einen halben Fingerhut zum Probieren. Unter einer Verkostung verstehe ich dass ich die Möglichkeit habe mehrere Sorten zu probieren. Trotzdem hat es wirklich sehr viel Spaß gemacht und wir würden jederzeit mit Secretmadeira wieder eine Tour machen.

Experiência fantástica: We had an excellent tour today to East of Madeira and huge credit must go to our very engaging, multi lingual and knowledgeable guide. So much was packed into our 8 hour trip including mountain peaks, valley's, fauna and flora, traditional houses, wild coastline and rum tasting. Absolutely fantastic trip and a bargain. Whole family adults and kids alike loved it. Hats off to a job very well done.

Our guide Tony was just brilliant with sharing all his knowledge on all the fauna and flora and history of the island. We saw so much from mountain tops to diverting to see small farm villages. Experiência fantástica: Die Ost-Madeira Tour mit Lucy von Secret-Madeira war ein absoluter Traum. Dem Veranstalter und Lucy gebe ich 11 von 10 Sternen. Lucy ist sehr unterhaltsam, sehr wisskundig und spricht allerbestes Deutsch. Secret Madeira- Nomen est Omen. Es wurden nur abgelegene, spannende Orte angefahren, wo es keine anderen Touristen hatte. Die Tour war der Hammer und hat mir riesigen Spaß gemacht. Wichtig in Corona-Zeiten: Lucy trug die ganze Zeit eine medizinische Maske und bei jedem Einstieg musste ich mir zu recht die Hände desinfizieren. Durch die Absagen anderer Reisender kam ich allein zu einer absoluten VIP-Tour. Der Klein-Bus wird ohnehin wegen Corona vom Veranstalter nur minimal belegt. Lucy kommt aus Madeira und hat profundes Wissen über die Insel. Señor Joerg schauen Sie mal nach links/ nach rechts. Diesen Satz werde ich nicht vergessen. Eine ganz tolle Tour !!!!!

Experiência fantástica: Fizemos uma trip de 2 dias (1 lado oeste e 1 lado leste) espetacular! Nao podia ter sido melhor sem a Lucy e o Tony. Super simpáticos, atenciosos e preocupados com a nossa segurança, conforto e bem-estar. Condução excelente, de 'tirar o chapéu' como se diz no bom português, e mostram os melhores caminhos rurais para os destinos selecionados de cada trip, tal como alguns secret spots ;) Bem melhor do que alugar um carro pois assim nao há stress em tentar entender qual a rota a seguir e desse modo aproveitar a vista espetacular da ilha da madeira. Tambem recebemos muita informação cultural, histórica e conhecimento desta ilha de cortar o fôlego. Um local lindo de morrer para conhecer e visitar, que merecia mais tempo para fazer as outras viagens (pena não ficar mais tempo por cá) Recomendo mesmo bastante em marcarem com a Lucy e o Tony com a Secret Madeira. To the people coming to the island it is better we give the tours a chance for them to show us their beautiful island and at the same time helping them sustain and grow.
